Rest In Peace.
Yesterday we lost Sally Menke, she’s the Sally in “Hi Sally” (aka Tarantino’s editor). Today we lost comedian Greg Giraldo. I was a fan of both of them, so right now I’m a little out of sorts…
Back to the Salt Mines...
…not really. I don’t know if I’ve mentioned it, but my new job is in photo retouching for kid’s school pictures. I go to work and sit at a computer, then walk around, then sit, then eat, then sit, then walk around, then sit, then drive home and sleep.

Irreducible Complexity
Irreducible complexity is an idea that basically says that a complex biological thing such as the human eye, can not evolve due to the idea that if you take away one part, the thing ceases to function in an adaptive way. Proponents of this idea tend to use an analogy of a mousetrap or a clock to say if you take away any of these parts then the item is rendered useless. They tend to also say that...

Conspiracy Theories
Though it could take thousands of people to hide the conspiracy (none of which ever come forward, despite the possible acclaim and accolades they would get for doing so), it takes one lone nutbag in a dark room to crack the code.
Why is it that our society clearly celebrates the chance takers, yet we rarely...

"Where's the Harm?"
Someone who I know asked this when I talked to them about faith healing. My answer is this:
If someone refuses medical treatment because some guy laid hands on them and told them that they’re healed, there’s harm there. This applies to other psuedosciences and mystical thinking. If a psychic tells you that your missing son is dead and gone forever, it could cause you to stop or slow...

Things That I'd Be Successful At... If I Was...
- Flirting (and talking to girls in general) - This one’s pretty self explanatory.
- Playing in a Band - I’m not saying my band would be successful, I would just fit into a band if I was more attractive
- Liking Myself - Also self explanatory.
- Getting Jobs From a Women Employer - Women tend to hire attractive men or other women, just as men tend to hire attractive women or other...

This Post is About One Of You
I’ve observed your posts in the past. I think this is something you need to know.
- You’re often down on yourself, which makes you wonder if you’ll ever find true happiness. Don’t worry. Your happiness isn’t dictated by other people, despite what you feel, it’s something you make for yourself. If you want to be happy, other people aren’t the answer, just...
Favorite Characters - TV
The characters that I love tend to be secondary characters and they rarely get episodes that focus on them. Here are a few (in no particular order)
Mad Men - Harry Crane (Rich Sommer) & Bertram Cooper (Robert Morse)
The Wire - Bubbles (Andre Royo)
Futurama - Kif Kroker (Maurice LaMarche) & Amy Wong (Lauren Tom)
The Office (US) - Andy Bernard (Ed Helms)
Entourage - Billy Walsh (Rhys...
